Our intrepid heroes will be racing a third of the way around the earth in the Mongol Rally.
The race is over 10,000 miles, 7 mountain ranges, 3 deserts, bandits, roads that range between very poor and non-existent, in a crap car with no more than 1 litre of power…
Oh well, too late to back out now.
The Wingit Racers are Ross Hunter and Chris Seal. Two kiwis on the adventure of a lifetime to sample the delights of the east, have a few beers (ahem), and to raise a few bucks for charity into the bargain.
They will be venturing forth in the mighty 'Rabbit Chaser' to travel around the globe to compete in the now legendary Mongol Rally.
Grateful thanks go out to all those who supported The Wingit Racers.
UPDATE: In addition to the charity donations, stacks of cash were also raised for good causes by auctioning the contestants cars.
The latest news, hot off the text… Photos, and all the news that's fit to print.
Where on earth are the WingITs? Follow the race on the map.
The Mongol Rally 2007 starts on July 21st 2007 from Hyde Park in London and finishes at Dave's Place, Suxhbaatar Square, Ulaanbaatar—Hopefully…
UPDATE: After 33 days and 8320 miles the Wingit racers complete the 2007 Mongol Rally.
